Available as: Classroom Course / Distance Learning course
Duration: 160-200 hours course individual study, plus 50 hours of classroom course, plus 3.5 hours for exam
Recommended level: Entry-level and Professional
Prerequisites: None

What you will learn

Upon completing this course you will have the skills to:

Make the appropriate arrangements and reservations for international air cargo shipments
Calculate correct rates and charges for general cargo and special cargo (specific commodity and class rates)
Complete Air Waybills in accordance with applicable IATA rules and procedures
Identify air cargo terms and expressions
Control and maximize the use of space in aircraft holds
Understand aircraft routings and industry manuals such as TACT and OAG World Airways Guides
Apply basic rating principles and state and operator variation
Follow IATA standards to accept cargo and complete documents and improve customer service

Certificate awarded

An IATA Certificate of Completion is awarded to participants obtaining a grade of 60% or higher on all exercises and exams. A special distinction is awarded to participants obtaining a grade of 90% or higher.

the kit containing the latest edition of the IATA Cargo Introductory manual; The OAG Cargo Guide Training Edition; The Air Cargo Tariff - TACT Training Edition
6 days (aprox. 50 hours) of classroom training conducted by a fully IATA Authorised Instructor
reexamination fees

To the students who did not pass the first examination attempt we offer complimentary participation to the next classroom course
